Prayer of a Student Teacher

Heavenly Father, here I am praying for your guidance in our Internship to help us in every situation that we encounter every day. We may surpass all the challenges that we are facing.

Give us wisdom and strength in times of suffers.

I may also pray to my students to be respectful to us, as, they respect their subject teacher.

Help me to be merciful to my students, to balance mercy and discipline

In the right measure for each student, to give genuine praise as much as possible, to give constructive criticism in a manner that is palatable to my students.

Help me remain conscientious enough to keep my lessons always interesting,

To recognize what motivates each of my students, to accept my student's limitations and not hold it against them.

Help me not to judge my students too harshly, to be fair to all,

To be a good role model, but most of all Lord, help me to show your love to all of my students.

Hoping, for a successful intern at the end of this semester.

Through our prayer we thank and praise you father.

We ask you to fill us with your love, guide and protect us always, and forgive us of our shortcoming. Amen.

Reflection About the Lapasan National High School (LNHS)

The only Public School in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines that has Special Program in the Arts (SPA)which was made and built by the Department of Education for those talented students to mold their skills better and also to preserve the Philippine Culture. These are the Music Arts, Vocal Arts, Dance Arts, Media Arts, Creative Arts, Theater Arts and Visual Arts. I’m so lucky to be part of this program, and I’m handling Media Arts as my practice teaching in this Internship. They were very talented students they really show case what they got especially in their specialization. They were making a short film, edit video and edit pictures and many more that would fit to their specialization. Also, I’m handling MAPEH subject and my students were SPA, students have a different talents and they must maintain their grade with an average of 90.

This girl is sometimes strict but she has a good heart, she has patient and a model to the young ones. 
“ Study for 15 minutes”. This phrase I always hear everytime she discussed. Eventhough, everytime she gave us quizzes after her discussions, still we are thankful to her because we had learned lots about the computers and media. I felt sorry for her because sometimes we didn’t obey her commands.
She stands for a younger sister to us or a second mother. She is Miss Myla Dela Peña, a kind, beautiful and an inspiration. Sorry and thanks for everything ma’am, hoping you will continue your good attitude and stay pretty. God bless you ma’am and we love you.

SemBREAK 2013

Being normal is #BORING. HA HA HA

Weeks to rest from stress from school works. But, to think of it, its more boring if we stay only in our own place that we only have to do is to sleep, eat, surf a net and everything that makes bored person to do. Gyyed!
I want my Sembreak will be productive and I can move in a little way. CHAR! Yes, for me It's more lazy if I only stay at home texting with some one. ruuu ! But, its okay life is to short daw KUNOHAY! :D  I'm hoping there will be a blessing in our business that makes me busy in this SemesterBREAK :D

For the next Semester, I'll be a STUDENT TEACHER with my co- BSED-TLE 4th year for the rest of semester 'till MARCH 2014. We are hoping for the successful of our Practice Teaching in our respective place either IN/OUT Campus. GO GIRLS/BOYS !
 We will ROCK the Classroom ! In God's Will ! We will make it for our Brighter Future !  

My Learning Assessment About Educational Technology 2

New Technology is common, new thinking is rare.

 My learning assessment about educational technology in this context refers to technology that is employed in the classroom for the purpose of student instruction. Also, it's all about computer-based technology including computer hardware, software, and the Internet. These forms of technology provide teachers and students with vast quantities of information in an easily accessible, non-sequential format that can be used as teaching tool. It's very BIG help for us students that we encounter this course subject because of the HIGH- TECHNOLOGY  nowadays. As a future teacher it would help us productive and creative in teaching through technology.  Like in a way of making HTML, it's one of the technique to teach in a creative way to your future students someday. I would like to thank my instructor MRS. JACKIE PARAISO to share her ideas through this technology and, how to earn money through this. It's a big THANK YOU TO YOU MA'AM.

CLASSROOM POLICY

Suggest one classroom policy that haven't existed yet which you think will help both teachers and students in the learning process.

                One of the policies of the classroom that I want to suggest is “Do not eat any food in class unless you have been given special permission”.  I think it’s not yet existed.  For me, it will help the teacher and the students in the learning process. To students will focus their lesson not by eating while listening the teacher discussion. It will disturb the class as well as the other students who are listening.  For them to respect their teacher and to discipline the students. They may eat after the class or during the snack time. 

UNRULY BEHAVIOR

Giving corporal punishment to unmanageable students is a big no-no for teachers, what are the other ways to tame such kind of students?

          One way to tame the unruly behavior of such kind students is to explain your class 'rules' at the beginning sessions and then stick by them. Class preparation is important. Truly unruly students need be eliminated. Well, people said we should treat the primary kids more nicely and smoothly than the secondary and it is right but in the same time, we must be strict to them so that they will keep on respecting us as their teacher and not as their friend! We must tell our students in the future that, "I’m not your friend but your BIG friend! It is more powerful than your friends in this school, OK?  So treat me with respects and listen what I say!" Then, be consistent. Consistency is crucial.

STUDENTS - TEACHERS REALTIONSHIP

                

                 






              The students and teachers relationship is one of the important for children/students. But it’s difficult to establish, but can be found for both individuals. If a teacher and students, who have qualities of good communication, respect in classroom and it shows interest in teaching so, the learning of students will have a positive relationship in the classroom. If the teacher shows willingness to help her/his students the output of the academic matter.  

CHEATING

As future teachers, what do you think are the measures to use in order to minimize the case of cheating.

                       To minimize the case of cheating. Students may seat as far apart as the room allows. In giving homework assignments to a reasonable number, and of reasonable length for them to think deeper. We should give them a class room rules that involves of spacing of seating and monitor, create multiple forms and ban digital technologies for them to be an effective students during class test. Students may know the penalties of cheating if they caught t cheat to their classmates.
